Do you want to be a Peer Advisor?
Every year the CICE hires former study away students to serve as the next year's Peer Advisors.

CICE Peer Advisors serve a vital role in the CICE office and in the lives of Gustavus students. They are the first point of contact for students interested in participating in a study away program. Their main priorities are advising, program promotion, and outreach. In addition, the entire team of peer advisors plans and executes events such as the Study Abroad Fair, and each peer advisor also completes one or more projects that support the study away proghram operation. Each internship also includes administrative and clerical duties in addition to the peer advising and outreach. [Complete position description coming soon.]
Peer Advisors are hired in a credit-bearing Gustavus internship for the academic year. The team usually includes four to five peer advisors, and each of the interns works 10 hours per week. The internship is for either 0.5 or 1 Gustavus unit each semester (most interns complete 0.5 units each semester).
After being chosen by the CICE to serve as a Peer Advisor, the candidates must apply for the internship through the Career Center by the posted deadline. CICE Peer Advisors must complete all the Career Center requirements and orientation. See the Career Center Internship website for complete details.
The crew for 2015-16 has been hired. Applications instructions for 2016-17 will be posted by the beginning of Spring Semester 2016.
