Description

Come and imagine yourself in the world!

Brian Konkol (Chaplain of the College, Gustavus Adolphus College) and Sarah Funkhouser (ELCA, Global Mission) will lead a conversation on the Young Adults in Global Mission program of the ELCA. Free lunch will be provided.

The ELCA Young Adults in Global Mission program invites young adults ages 21-29 into a transformative, year-long journey in international service. As they offer themselves in service, young adults are shaped by the witness of our global neighbors. They share in the journeys of companion churches and organizations in one of nine countries around the world.

Current YAGM country programs include: Argentina/Uruguay, Central Europe (Hungary), Jerusalem/West Bank, Madagascar, Malaysia, Mexico, Rwanda, Southern Africa and United Kingdom.

Chaplain Konkol served as Country Coordinator for the Young Adults in Global Mission program in Southern Africa from 2008-2012, and Sarah Funkhouser was a Young Adults in Global Mission participant in Jerusalem/West Bank in 2013-2014.
