This year marks the 2,550th Vesak Celebration or Buddha Day, a commemoration of the life of the Buddha -- his birth, enlightenment, and death. The schedule includes:

9 a.m. -- Meditation
11:30 a.m. -- Lunch with Buddhist Monks (Reservations are not required for the lunch.)
12:30 p.m. -- Movie: "Life of the Buddha"
2 p.m. -- Speaker Doug McGill
2:45 p.m.-- Chanting and Blessing
4 p.m.-- Light Festival and Closing
