The asters are blooming and the grasses are copper and gold. Learn about the prairie soils, the importance of fire, seed collection and the challenges of prairie restoration. Learn which prairie plants cured snakebite, and which ones made good chewing gum. Meet at the Coneflower Prairie Garden site near the intersection of Jefferson Ave. and Nicollet Ave. This is a free program, but registration is required by calling 507-933-6184.
