Public Halloween-themed lecture, "The Ungrateful Dead Revisited," by Professor Stephen Mitchell of Harvard University Beck Hall 101

Come join us for a special Halloween-themed public lecture titled "The Ungrateful Dead Revisited: The Supernatural in Nordic Folklore," by Stephen Mitchell, the Robert and Ilse Friend Professor of Scandinavian Studies and Folklore at Harvard University. A Q&A will follow the lecture. Professor Mitchell is a world-renowned expert on the Nordic Middle Ages, Nordic mythology, and Nordic folklore and leads a Harvard Summer Course on the Vikings to Scandinavia every summer. He earned his Ph.D. at the University of Minnesota in 1978 and has been active in undergraduate education at Harvard for several decades, including serving as the Master of Eliot House.
