Description

Join the Political Science Department for a Nicollet County Attorney Candidate Forum from 12:30-1:20 p.m. on Friday, October 12 in Old Main 05. The County Attorney is an elected position responsible for serving as the chief lawyer for all county agencies, prosecuting felonies within the county, prosecuting all juvenile offenses, and representing the county human services department in cases of child protection and maltreatment...making this a very important government position. County Attorney races are non-partisan and so voting can be challenging because there are no party-label cues to go by. The Nicollet County Attorney race is contested this year and the Political Science department wants to help you make an educated decision between the two candidates: incumbent Michelle Zehnder Fischer, and challenger Elizabeth Levine. The candidates will have the chance to introduce themselves, answer questions from the forum moderator, and answer questions from the audience. This event is open to the entire campus community.
