Alumni, parents, and friends of Gustavus Adolphus College are cordially invited to attend three special events in Arizona. Gather with other Gusties in the area and learn more about energy and environmental initiatives at Gustavus from Professor Jeff Jeremiason. President Jim Peterson '64 and Alumni Director Randall Stuckey '83 will be present to bring the latest news about the College. Jeff Jeremiason, chair of the 2007 Nobel Conference Heating up: the Energy Debate, will address issues about climate change, declining oil reserves, and new and advancing technologies, some of which are being researched and implemented at Gustavus. Jeremiason is director of the environmental studies program and assistant professor of environmental studies and chemistry at Gustavus. He received a B.A. from Augustana College, Sioux Falls, S.D., and a master's and Ph.D. in environmental engineering from the University of Minnesota. His main research focus is studying the fate and transport of mercury and organic contaminants in the environment, particularly aquatic environments.
