Description

"The People Behind the Science Lecture Series" through the Biology Department has invited seven speakers to give seminars about their research specialties and career paths throughout J-term, and we invite you to attend! This series is designed to show the diversity of early- and late-stage STEM careers in biology and highlight the real and relatable people that are behind the science!

Our first seminar speaker will be Taylor Zallek, who is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Pittsburgh specializing in the interacting dynamics of ecology and evolution in biological invasions. His talk will take place over Google Meets from 11am-12pm CT on Thursday January 5th.

Our next speaker will be Anthony Massaro, who will be giving a seminar on the reproductive strategies in male chimpanzees on Jan 10th 11am-12pm in person in NH 2220.

Please contact Angela Walczyk (awalczyk@gustavus.edu) if you have questions.
