Description

All faculty are invited to this special Writing across the Curriculum development opportunity on Friday, March 14 at the Interpretive Center presented by Michelle Cox, Dartmouth College: "Multiple Strategies for Multi-lingual Writers. eStudents report that writing-intensive courses stimulate their engagement and investment in their own learning. An increasing number of our students are multilingual speakers and writers. They also benefit from multiple opportunities to write in their classes, but faculty are often challenged to find ways to capitalize on these students' unique abilities, and to address their needs. If you want to develop innovative techniques to promote student learning and to try to see multilingual writing as an opportunity rather than a problem to be solved, then this workshop is for you. Session One: 9-12 and Session Two 1:30-4:30 p.m. (repeats Session One material). Light refreshments will be served during the morning and afternoon sessions.
