Description

Sweden's Ambassador to the United States, Karin Olofsdotter, will be at Gustavus on Monday, September 17. All are welcome to a presentation and Fika at 9 a.m. in the Heritage Room.

She will share thoughts on Sweden in the world today, answer questions, and engage in informal discussion to learn from our community so she can best interpret American attitudes in her reports back to Sweden.

Time for fika and conversation will follow the formal presentation.

Ambassador Olofsdotter has served in her current role since 2017. She has previously been director-general for Trade Policy, head of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs' Department for Promotion of Sweden, Trade and CSR, Ambassador in Budapest, and head of the MFA's Ministers Office. She has also served at the Embassy in Washington and Moscow, at the Mission of Sweden to NATO, and the Permanent Representation of Sweden to the EU in Brussels.
