"The War Within: Can the Soldier Be at Peace?" is the theme of Gustavus Adolphus College's 35th annual MAYDAY! Peace Conference.

Major Matthew Scherer, detachment commander at the Andrew Radar U.S. Army Health Clinic, will present the morning keynote address, "Identity, Loss, and Reintegration in the Decade of Heroes", at 10am in Christ Chapel. The afternoon session opens with a keynote presentation by photographer Devin Mitchell, creator of the Veteran Vision Project. Three concurrent discussion panels focusing on the challenges veterans face upon returning from military service"veteran reintegration, psychological and spiritual issues, and the role of military families"will round out the day's activities.
