Gustavus Adolphus College will host its 27th annual MAYDAY! Peace Conference. The conference is devoted each year to a different topic relating to human rights and social justice; the theme for 2007 is "Community Food Security." The schedule of events for the conference is as follows: 9-11 a.m.: Registration, Linner Lounge of the Johnson Student Union 9 a.m. - 4:15 p.m.: Resource Fair, Banquet Rooms in Jackson Campus Center 10 a.m. -Welcoming Service, Christ Chapel; includes welcome by President Jim Peterson and presentation by Janet Poppendieck, "School Food at the Crossroads: Business as Usual or Maximum Food Security?" 10:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.: "Locavore Meal," Marketplace 1:30 - 3 p.m. - Afternoon keynote address by Mike Hamm, "Community Food Security and Sustainable Development: What's Our Children's Legacy?" in Alumni Hall 3:30 p.m.: Closing Ceremony and Reception 4:30 p.m.: "Grow Your Own: Plants, Pots, and People Project," at the Johns Family Courtyard 6:30 p.m.: "Pizza and Politics," in Linner Lounge of the Johnson Student Union 8:00 p.m.: Screening of "Fast Food Nation" at Wallenberg Auditorium in the Nobel Hall of Science
