Announcement: Lenten Conversation Partners Needed!

Audience:Campus
Description

Lent is a season of the Christian Church that is marked by reflection and a journey with Christ to the cross as we approach Easter. The Chaplains Office is seeking interested students and faculty/staff to journey through the Christian season of Lent together.

After signing up, students will be paired with an interested Gustavus Faculty/Staff member for conversation and reflection. Students may also request to be paired with a faculty/staff member of their choice--after which chaplains office staff will reach out to that faculty/staff member to see if they are interested. Each participant will receive a copy of "Rise: An Authentic Lenten Devotional" to guide their practice and conversation. Partners are invited to meet once every week in Lent to discuss what they've been reading and reflecting on.

All participants will also be invited to a "Kick-Off" party with coffee and pastries on Tuesday, February 21st from 10:00-10:20 a.m. in the Chapel for a chance to meet their conversation partners.

Christians from all denominations and traditions are welcome to participate.

The season of Lent is from Wednesday, November 22nd- Wednesday, April 5th.
