Kicking for a Cause: Women's Soccer hosts Buena Vista UniversityOctober 17, 2012 at 4–8:30 p.m.
The Gustavus Women's Soccer team is sponsoring a fundraising event during their Wednesday, October 17th game vs. Buena Vista at 4:00pm. Yuwa is a Minnesota based non-profit organization reaching out to girls in rural India, specifically Jharkland. Through team sports, Yuwa provides a platform for young women to gain confidence and make a change in their world.
During the game, there will be a "Suggested Entry Donation" that goes directly to Yuwa, along with a raffle for a signed Gustavus Women's Soccer practice jersey. In addition, the St. Peter Soccer Club's U12 girl's team will be ball girls for the game and play a mini-scrimmage at halftime. After the game, beginning at 6:30 p.m., please join the team at Patrick's on S 3rd Street for Specials and a Silent Auction to benefit Yuwa. It promises to be a fun and inspiring event.
