Description

Yom Kippur marks the culmination of 10 days of introspection and repentance following Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish new year. This year, Yom Kippur begins at sundown on Tuesday, October 11, and it ends at sundown on Wednesday, October 12. In the Jewish tradition, this is one of holiest days of the year. Jews observe this holiday by fasting, attending synagogue, and pausing from work. We encourage members of the Gustavus community to be aware of this holiday and to make accommodations for Jewish employees and students if they request it.
