Description

The Diversity Center invites you to join us for the "'I AM A BLACK MAN' Panel Discussion" on Thursday, October 6 at 6:30 p.m. in the Wallenberg Auditorium.

This panel discussion is an opportunity to learn more about the Black community and how recent events affect members of Gustavus. Our very own administrators, faculty, and students will talk open and candidly about what it means to be a Black person in America. Attendees will also hear first-person responses to questions posed by YOU* that are related to the Black Lives Matter movement, injustices within the Black community, and recent shootings against Black men. It is an event that is sure to open people's eyes and consider the Black perspective. (Panelists include Kenneth Reid, Glen Lloyd, Jasmine Porter, Gustavus students, and others)

*Click the following link to submit a question to the panel for consideration. Please note that this event is catered to the Gustavus community, thus the form does ask that you sign in to submit a question.Submission Form: https://goo.gl/forms/jwA9mPheKADRV6fo2
