Description

This upcoming November 9th, Campus Activities Board, in collaboration with CADA, MNCASA and SART, will be hosting an event called Fired Up in Alumni Hall at 2pm. This event is a production created by MNCASA along with their partners to bring awareness about sexual assault, domestic violence and child abuse.

Fired Up is based on the written & verbal histories of 5 Minnesota
survivors who also serve as the cast members. Fired Up shares the life
experiences of the cast members and addresses their trauma and betrayal
while showcasing their resiliency and commitment to ending sexual
violence. The script weaves cast member's life stories together in a
way that shares their individual trauma while calling for collective
action to end the abuse.

Child sexual abuse and exploitation affects as many as one in four girls
and one in six boys. It affects not only the individuals but their
families, friends, and our entire community.

The event is welcome to all. Gustavus students are free.

General admission:
Adult: $10
Students: $5
