Festival of St. LuciaDecember 7, 2006 at 10–11 a.m.

The Festival of St. Lucia marks the beginning of the Christmas season in Swedish custom. The festival is celebrated annually at Gustavus with a chapel service featuring a court of five sophomore women chosen for their leadership, service to the College and others, charity, kindness, and thoughtfulness.

Schedule

• 8 a.m. – Holiday Bake Sale at Trinity Lutheran Church
• 10 a.m. – Chapel Service in Christ Chapel featuring St. Lucia court
• 10:30 a.m. – Holiday shopping at the Book Mark
• 11 a.m – Scandinavian Smorgasbord and program featuring author Lisa Lunge-Larsen
