Description

Gustavus is a member of the Fair Labor Association (FLA) - Improving Workers' Lives Worldwide and a designated Fair Trade Campus. The Book Mark will be hosting viewing opportunities for upcoming webinars throughout the semester as they relate to fair labor and fair trade.

Join us Thursday, February 20 10 a.m.-11 a.m. in the Dive for the webinar FORCED LABOR IN XINJIANG, CHINA.

The Fair Labor Association recently published guidance for companies that details an increased risk of potential forced labor in Xinjiang, China. The risk stems from two sources: 1.) China’s internment of over one million Chinese citizens of ethnic Turkic origin in Xinjiang and 2.) forced labor by prisoners incarcerated in China’s regular judicial system.
