Closing the Gap on Assessment: How Can Effective Self-Assessment Lead to Responsive Program Change and Development?

Presenter: Dr. Amy Jessen-Marshall (a 1991 Gustavus chemistry alumna) is the vice president of the Office of Integrative Liberal Learning and the Global Commons at AAC&U. Previously she served as Dean of the Faculty, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Professor of Biology at Sweet Briar College, as well as Provost and Dean of University Programs at Otterbein University. She has worked with AAC&U as both a curriculum consultant with the General Education Maps and Markers (GEMS) project, as well as a campus leader for the Shared Futures project on global learning. Over the past decade Dr. Jessen-Marshall has worked with numerous colleges and universities on integrative and global curriculum redesign and assessment with a focus on faculty development and engagement.
