Description

Isaiah is one of the most inspiring and influential books in the Bible. The original prophet Isaiah spoke during a time of great social upheaval, and later prophets and scribes added to his words over hundreds of years to address the changing needs of generations of believers. The book has been a constant source of hope for Jews and Christians worldwide, and they have quoted, studied, and been guided and moved by it for centuries. Passages from Isaiah have also richly influenced music, poetry, and visual arts. In this series, we will take a closer look at this complex and inspiring book with the help of three highly respected scholars who have all published widely on the book Isaiah. This week hear from Speaker Hanne Loeland Levinson.
