Description

8:00-9:15 a.m. Life Gifts " Kathi Tunheim

Each of us is gifted with certain talents and traits that are uniquely our own. We can see this in children from the time they are very small. As we move into adulthood, we sometimes overlook our gifts. While many of us are in careers or situations that utilize our gifts, some find themselves in situations that are a poor fit.

In these sessions we will look at the activities we do that energize us and find where our interests lie. We will learn how to define what giftedness is, identify our individual gifts, examine areas of individual passion or interest, and how to set goals based on our gifts.

This is an exciting and rewarding session which will help you bring confidence in your individual gifts and your ability to share them with those with whom you share your life.

9:15-9:30 a.m. Break

9:30-11:30 a.m. Discovering and Engaging Your Strengths " Kirk Beyer

Do you know what your strengths are? Most people don't " yet knowing and applying your strengths can lead to a happier more successful life. In this session we will view and discuss the video series Trombone Player Wanted which explains how to identify and make the most out of personal strengths while minimizing weaknesses. Woven through the series created and narrated by Marcus Buckingham, author of the book, Go Put Your Strengths to Work, is the story of a young boy who dreams of being a drummer but is cast as the trombone player in his school band.
