Description
Malaysia - Crossroads of Asia is a dinner/lecture presented by Steve and Shirley Mellema. Because of its unique geography and history, Malaysia possesses an ethnic diversity which makes it a microcosm of Asia. Its multi-ethnic, multi-religious society is a unique blend of various influences. Home to both the world's oldest rainforest and the world's tallest building, Malaysia as an "economic tiger" has developed at a staggering pace over the past 25 years. We have visited there, lived there, and brought several groups of American students to Malayisa. We hope to share our insights and experiences of this wonderful part of the world. This event is a Gustavus Adolphus College continuing education program done in cooperation with the St. Peter Community and Family Education program.
