This lecture is part of the Global Insight China Visiting Scholar Lecture Series. Dr. Jason McGrath, Professor of Modern Chinese Literature and Film at the University of Minnesota will deliver a cinematic retrospective on Chinese film. Winner of the prestegious McNight Land-Grant Professorship for his project "Inscribing the Real: Chinese Cinema from the Silent Era to the Twenty-First Century, Dr. McGrath is on of the most celebrated scholars in the field of Chinese cinema. The lecture is co-sponsored by the Faculty Lecture Series and by numerous academic departments and programs.
