Bridging Differences with Stories
February 25, 2014 at 4–5 pm[1h]
Diversity Center, Jackson Campus Center
The Center for Servant Leadership will bring artist and author John Noltner and his multimedia exhibit, "A Peace of My Mind,” to Gustavus From February 24 through March 10. A Peace of My Mind is a multimedia art project that fosters public discourse about issues related to conflict resolution, civic responsibility, and peace. With black and white portraits and oral histories, 53 subjects describe what peace means to them, how they work toward it in their lives, and some of the obstacles they encounter. John Noltner uses his art to explore the basic goodness that resides in each of us. The 53 panels will be on display in four locations: The Chapel, Beck Atrium, Library, and the Campus Center.
Please come to the Diversity Center on Tuesday, February 25, at 4 pm to meet John and join in a discussion about peace and "how we can bridge our differences by sharing our stories."
