Announcement: Arb Campout (Registration)

Have you always wanted to campout in the Arb? Now's your chance. On Saturday, May 19, the Arboretum is hosting a campout on the Arb grounds. Join us for an evening of games, stargazing, a bonfire, and then sleeping out under the stars. Bring a tent, a hammock, or borrow a tent from the Arb Office (6 available). EVERYONE that is staying overnight must register with the Arboretum. Please email bjol@gustavu.edu to do so. We will have s'mores available for roasting over the fire. Feel free to bring your own food, or stop by to enjoy the bonfire.

Check-in begins at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 19 near the Melva Lind Interpretive Center in the Arboretum. At check-in, you will be asked to sign a liability waiver and agree to the following code of conduct. The campout will conclude by 10 a.m. Sunday morning, May 20.

Rules/Regulations

All students attending will sign in upon arrival and agree to the following:

  • No alcohol or drugs.

  • No smoking.

  • Maintain an appropriate noise level.

  • Be respectful of the Arboretum.

  • Be respectful of other campers.

  • Watch the event page for updates on equipment and weather.

  • Restrooms will be available in the Interpretive Center.

Please register by Friday, May 18.
