I have two younger brothers, one is a sophomore named Ryan and the youngest is in 6th grade and his name is Ethan. I also have a four year old cavalier and miniature poodle mix dog named Crosby.
Tell me about your experiences so far at Gustavus: I really like it here on the Hill! I have made so many fun memories here so far as a freshman and can’t wait to make many more! Everyone here is very welcoming and the team environment is amazing.
What volunteering or community service have you done in and/or out of college?: I have volunteered at Feed My Starving Children many times, I have helped to raise awareness of brain tumors by running a 5K as well as helping to organize, I would also volunteer to help out my gymnastics gym with meets and organizing the gym as I was a gymnast in the past.
What other extracurricular activities, clubs, or organizations are you a part of?: Currently I am only a part of the track team although I am looking into joining more clubs once Covid is over!
How have these activities changed your time at Gustavus?: Being on the track team here at Gustavus, I really like the environment and how everyone is so nice and easy to talk to. I really liked that during Covid times that I was still able to meet some new people who have similar interests as me.

Tell me about your college academic and athletic achievements that you have earned . (Captain, All-American, all-conference, academic all-conference, etc, and include year): Nothing yet..
Why did you choose Gustavus?: I chose Gustavus because I had wanted to go to a smaller school and feel counted for instead of just a number. What made me decide on Gustavus was after meeting coaches and seeing the team environment, I knew that I wanted to be part of it as it was so positive and I knew I would fit right in.
In your opinion what makes the Gustavus cross country/track and field programs different from other colleges?: I feel as though the Gustavus track and field team is unique to other schools as we are big on not only physical health, but also mental health which was very important to me coming into this new environment and not really knowing what the expect. I think what makes us stand out is that we train physically tough, but we also know not to push ourselves past what we can handle either. With this mindset, we are able to train more efficiently and for many more years without feeling burned out. Therefore, we are able to make the most out of our practices and train smarter.
