Both my parents ran track and placed at state while my father also played football. I have one older brother who lived and breathed football with track on the side. My family is very supportive of my brother and myself. They are the definition of number one fans.
Tell me about your experiences so far at Gustavus: I call Gustavus my home because I have a team I come back to every year, friends I can always count on, and professors who continue to provide support. I have made countless memories on this campus that I will always look back on.
What volunteering or community service have you done in and/or out of college?: During high school, I volunteered a lot in my community and surrounding communities. During college, I was not able to continue volunteer service.

How have these activities changed your time at Gustavus?: They have provided me leadership roles that not only build my portfolio but give me life experience. The biggest thing is these activities have helped me better my organization and time management skills. Having to juggle everything at once, I can say they have changed my experience at Gustavus for the better.

Why did you choose Gustavus?: I chose Gustavus because of the location and size. The campus is far enough from home but not too far if I wanted to come home. I really liked the student and physical size of the campus. I came from a high school with over 3,000 students and I did not want my college to be bigger than that.
In your opinion what makes the Gustavus cross country/track and field programs different from other colleges?: Gustavus' track and field program works with their athletes from day one. The coaches see your potential, even when you don't see it, and they instill in you confidence. They are always available to help outside of practices and are very understanding of their athletes.
