1997 Season
Eighth Place Finish At Region Meet Highlights Men’s Cross Country Season - Senior Sedge Freeman recorded one of the best performances of his collegiate career at the NCAA Central Region meet as he finished eighth out of 165 runners and helped the Gusties to a strong eighth place finish out of 24 teams.
As a result of his eighth place individual finish, Freeman qualified for the NCAA Championships where he placed 77th out of 183 competitors. The Gusties regular season was highlighted by a first place team finish in the gray race at the UW-LaCrosse Invitational.
At the conference championships, Coach June Kloubec’s squad finished sixth out of 11 teams. Top finishers included Sedge Freeman in 19th place and Stephon Freeman in 27th place.
