What events are you in? Are you in both cross country and track and field?: I run distance (3K/5K indoor; 5K/10K outdoor) and I am also in track.
Where did you go to high school?: Fillmore Central High School
Where is your hometown?: Harmony, MN
Tell me about your experiences so far at Gustavus: Gustavus has been great. I've met my best friends and an innumerable number of great people. I've always felt proud to represent Gustavus, both in XC/track and in general.
What volunteering or community service have you done in and/or out of college?: I've worked with Special Olympics through the opportunities our SAAC representatives set up. I've volunteered in ditch pick-up through my church and high school NHS. I've also worked at events to raise money for the county food shelf.
What other extracurricular activities, clubs, or organizations are you a part of?: I am the President of Kappa Delta Pi, am in SEA, Gustie Greeters, FTS Peer MALT, and XC.
How have these activities changed your time at Gustavus?: I've met my best friends through some of these activities.
Have you been a part of any movements that work for social justice or change? What are you passionate about?: As an Education major, I am passionate about equity and human rights.

Why did you choose Gustavus?: Gustavus had a small feel to it, which I really appreciated. The coaching staff seemed passionate about the team and really cared about the athletes. The Gustavus Education department also has a very good reputation.
In your opinion what makes the Gustavus cross country/track and field programs different from other colleges?: Our team is very close. We cheer for any and every Gustie, and do so quite loudly. The sense of camaraderie on the team is shown at every meet, and it is incredible to be part of and experience.
