The men’s team finished off the year with a record of 9-8-1, and 5-4-1 in the MIAC, which was good enough for fourth place. The men were led in scoring by junior Jake Valento (8 goals, 2 assists, 18 points), and first-year players Eric Carl (5 goals, 4 assists, 14 points) and Keith Thomas (4 goals, 4 assists, 12 points. Coach Larry Zelenz's squad faced a very demanding schedule which included a 3-1 loss to eventual national champion Wheaton and close defeats to NCAA Tournament squads from Colorado College, St. Olaf and Macalester. Senior midfielder Greg Holker and junior defender Scott Crowell were named to the all-conference team. Mike Orr, a junior midfielder, received All-MIAC honorable mention honors.
