Haldo Norman ’52 Inducted 1980

Haldo K. Norman '52 lettered all four years in football, basketball and track. He was named All-Conference in football for three years and to Little All-America in 1951. He was co-captain of the football team in 1951 and led the entire nation in pass receiving for several weeks during that season. He is considered a top receiver in G.A. football history.
Haldo was drafted by the '49ers and suffered a shoulder injury that put a halt to his career. Two years later, he reported to the New York Giants but ended his professional career because of injuries.
Following graduation he was employed by Wilson Sporting Goods for two years, coached football at Chaska and Detroit Lakes for a total of eight years, was in real estate for two years, and then joined Britannica Films. He has been a district manager for Britannica far the past 14 years and was named top salesman in the company last year.
He and his wife, Jane (Nielsen) '93 have five daughters and two granddaughters. They live in Lincoln, Nebraska.
