The Gustavus women's hockey team is set to face Augsburg in the MIAC Championship at 6 p.m., Saturday, March 8. The Gusties, who earned the No. 2 seed after finishing second in the conference, will travel to Minneapolis to the No. 1-seeded Auggies at Ed Saugestad Rink. The Gusties (21-5-0, 15-3-0 MIAC) earned a spot in their fifth consecutive title game via a 4-0 shutout of Hamline in the semifinals last Saturday, March 1. Augsburg (22-3-1, 16-2-0 MIAC), meanwhile, made history in its semifinal game against Saint Mary's, playing in the longest women's hockey game in recorded NCAA Division III history, winning 3-2 in quadruple overtime. Gustavus Gymnastics is set to compete at the WIAC Championships this Saturday, March 8, at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse's Mitchell Hall Gymnasium! The meet is also the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) West Region Qualifier for the NCGA National Championships, which will be held in Saint Peter on March 22. No. 23 Gustavus Women's Tennis dropped a 7-0 decision to No. 10 Trinity in its first of three consecutive nationally-ranked matches on Thursday, March 6. Karina Elvestrom and Kaya De Bruijn claimed the only Gustie victory of the day in the No. 1 doubles, as the All-American duo defeated Trinity's Rosabella Andrade and Trinity Levy.
