Typical meetings between students and accessibility resources staff in the ASC may include:
- Following up on the effectiveness of academic accommodations
- Academic coaching
- Strategies for studying, taking tests, meeting college-level expectations
- Time management
- Using a calendar system to structure time
- Methods of organization, including weekly, monthly, and semester-long planning
- Communicating with professors
- Coaching and modeling conversations with professors regarding accommodations and individual learning needs
- Self-awareness
- Helping students realize personal learning strengths and challenges
- Determining if additional diagnostic testing or assessment is needed
- Identifying and accessing other campus and community resources to aid in success, such as:
- Career Development, Counseling Center, departmental tutors, faculty office hours, Health Service, and Writing Center
