The Gustavus mission states the purpose of a Gustavus education is to develop a passion for lifelong learning. The Offices of the Provost and Alumni and Parent Engagement are pleased to partner and present a series for lifelong learners titled Gustavus Passion for Lifelong Learning.
The next event will be Thursday, March 20 at the American Swedish Institute in Minneapolis and will feature Dr. Kathy Lund Dean, Board of Trustees Distinguished Chair in Leadership and Ethics in Economics and Management. Registration and reception begin at 6:30 p.m. with the lecture beginning at 7:00 p.m.
Dr. Lund Dean teaches courses in Organizational Behavior, Strategic Management, and Conflict Management at Gustauvs. At this event, you will hear about her research on how religious accommodation and discrimination disputes in the workplace are being resolved by the courts. Previous Passion for Lifelong Learning events included an evening of poetry with Gustavus professor of English and Minnesota poet laureate, Joyce Sutphen and a talk by David Jones ’83 on the 50th anniversary of John F. Kennedy's assassination.
