Class of 2006
5-Year Reunion― September 30 – October 1, 2011
Class of 2006,
Our five-year class reunion is fast approaching – and we want you to be there.
We have been working hard over the last six months to make this an event to remember. Class agents and volunteers have called nearly every member of our class, and have made personal phone calls to every member of our class. (If you have not updated your contact information with the alumni office, we likely spoke with your parents).
Still, we wanted to take this opportunity to give you an update of what you need to do in the weeks ahead to participate in our upcoming five-year reunion.
When and Where is Our Class Reunion?
Our class reunion is the weekend of Friday, September 30 and Saturday, October 1. We will be celebrating on campus in Saint Peter and at Stella’s Fish Café in Minneapolis.
When and Where are the Scheduled Activities for Our Class?
Please read the following information carefully, and contact Matt Swenson with any questions. You can reach Matt by phone at (763) 464-0042 or email at email@example.com.
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 30
Our reunion gets started Friday, September 30 on campus. There will be a reception for all reunion classes in the banquet rooms from 5:00 to 6:15 p.m. All Gusties are then invited to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the college at a FREE dinner in Lund Arena at 6:30 p.m.
We encourage you to participate in Friday night’s on-campus activities and reserve a hotel room in the area on Friday night. Take the opportunity to meet up with friends at Patrick’s and other establishments Friday after the Sesquicentennial celebration, and spend some time on campus reliving the many memories we made on the hill.
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 1
The football game gets underway at 1:30 p.m. at Hollingsworth Field. A hospitality tent for our class and other reunion classes will be open near the field from 12:00 – 2:30 p.m. The tent will give folks an opportunity to meet up with friends for the game and hang out.
Saturday night our class will be gathering for our official reunion celebration at Stella’s Fish Café in Uptown. The reunion celebration begins at 8:00 p.m. Admission to the reunion is $15, which covers appetizers and one drink ticket. A cash bar will be available as well.
How Do I Register for Our Class Reunion?
Over 200 classmates have already confirmed on the phone or online that they are attending our class reunion. But confirming on Facebook or on the phone won’t get you into the reunion on Saturday night.
The Gustavus Alumni Office has recently mailed you a registration form that you may have already received. Please fill out the registration form and mail it back or you can register online at: gustavus.edu/homecoming. Then click “2006.”
How Can I Make a Donation to the Gustavus Alumni Fund?
In addition to the $15 fee for the reunion Saturday night, we are also encouraging all of our classmates to consider a voluntary donation to the Gustavus Annual Fund. From $5 to $500, your donation makes a difference, giving the gift of Gustavus to students just like us.
The registration form you will receive from the Alumni Office will provide an opportunity to make a gift that will make a difference for students and our alma mater. We hope you will consider our reunion a chance to give back to the institution that has given us so much.
As always, you can make a donation to the Gustavus Annual Fund at: www.gac.edu/giving.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions about our class reunion. And don’t forget to tell us your class news. We look forward to seeing each and every one of you in just a few short weeks.
Your class agents,
Katie Parks Cochran
