70-Year Reunion ― May 29, 2010

Greetings Classmates!

I thought I would write you of our 70th reunion this past weekend.

There were three of us from our class that attended, Carl Lofgren, Millie Gulberg Gilbertson and me.  President Ohle honored our class by introducing us with a standing applause for attending our 70th anniversary at the luncheon.

The day was beautiful.  The campus was in its glory with Adirondack chairs on the manicured lawns, and the flowers gracing the campus.  A large crane was in place looking over a large hole ready for a new academic center that will be completed in 2011.  The “college of the church” as President Ohle likes to use this phrase, is poised with a new strategic plan for the next ten years.  They plan on doubling the endowment fund within the next five years.  I was proud of our roots and know that it will continue to be a campus that holds true to its core values of Justice, Service, Excellence, Community and Faith.

It was wonderful to be a part of the inspirational message.  We can still be challenged and graciously give to our alma mater to make this vision come alive.

Please keep in touch.
