Class of 2006

April 2013

Greetings Class of 2006,

Spring is upon us, and a new class of Gusties will soon be receiving that priceless diploma we all received seven years ago. Do you remember that insanely hot day in May 2006? A stark contrast to the unseasonably wintry weather we have been having in recent weeks.

As we sit here today, Winter Storm Walda is slowly encroaching on the State of Minnesota, threatening to drop a foot of snow in mid-April. Still, summer is just around the corner, and we, as class officers, are in the midst of planning a mid-summer get-together for our class. This is not an official reunion, but rather an informal gathering where we all, as classmates, can gather and hang out. Look for more details on time and location of our summer gathering in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, we hope you’ll consider giving to the Gustavus Annual Fund as a member of the class of 2006. Giving the gift of Gustavus is as important as ever, and you can now easily donate online at: www.gustavus.edu/giving/.

As our class has moved throughout the region and the nation, a number of our classmates have some exciting news to report. From marriages to graduate degrees, new jobs, and births, these letters give us all the opportunity to share our life’s milestones with the Class of 2006. Below is some news we have received from you all in recent months. To submit your class news, email us at: 2006classofficers@gustavus.edu or submit your news online at www.gustavus.edu/alumni/class/2006/.

We look forward to hearing from you, and seeing you at our upcoming summer gathering. Go Gusties!

Thanks for reading Class of 2006! Have a great spring!

Sincerely,

Matt Swenson, President
Anders Eckman, Vice President/Reunion Chair
Logan Martin, Communications Chair
Hannah Johnson, New Student Recruitment Chair
