MC48 Homework 6 (Fall 1998)

Due: November 9, 1998

1. Do exercise 6.5 on page 530.
2. Do exercise 6.9 on pages 530-531.
3. Do exercise 6.19 on page 533. (Clarification: a potential "read after write" problem means the potential that the read might not really happen after the write (even though it is later in the program) and so might not read that which was written.)
4. Do exercise 6.21 on page 534. There is a typo in the exercise: it refers to exercise 5.15, when it really should refer to exercise 5.12.
