			<p> The Gustavus women's golf team posted a solid final round score of 316 (+28) to finish sixth at the NCAA Championships out of 20 teams. The 72-hole tournament, was played at Centennial Oaks Golf Course in Waverly, Iowa. The Gusties made up 13 strokes to move up two places and finish one stroke ahead of St. Thomas.  Junior Kimbra Kosak (Grand Rapids, Minn.) wrapped up a very strong tournament with a final round score of 75 (+3).</p>

The Gusties have a three-day total of 323-323-322--968.  First place Methodist University is 27 strokes ahead of the second place team with scores of 307-309-299--915.</p>

				<p> The National Golf Coaches Association announced its 2007-08 Awards at the recent NCAA Division III Championships and three Gustavus golfers were honored by the NGCA. Rachel Roberg received First Team All-America honors, while Kali Griggs received Second Team All-America honors and Kimbra Kosak received honorable mention All-America honors. In addition, Roberg, Griggs, and Kosak were named to the Midwest All-Region team.</p>

The Gusties have a two-day total of 323-323--646, which is 30 strokes behind first place Methodist University at 307-309--616.  Individually, Rachel Roberg is tied for tenth place after shooting a second round 76 for a two-day total of 79-76--155.</p>

Roberg, Schenfeld and the Gusties will begin the 2008 NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championships on Tuesday in Waverly, Iowa.</p>

Schenfeld shot an 81, which was the low round at LeSueur Country Club on Saturday, in a meet that included Gustavus, UW-Stevens Point and two individuals from Macalester. As a team, Gustavus defeated UW-Stevens Point 336-355.</p>

The Gusties, who finished third last year at the national tournament and are currently ranked second in the nation, will be making their fifth appearance in the past six years.  St. Thomas earned the MIAC's automatic bid after winning the MIAC Championships this fall.</p>

				<p> The Gustavus women's golf team defeated Wisconsin-Stevens Point 336-355 in its final competition of the regular season on a blustery Saturday afternoon at the Le Sueur Country Club.  Individually, Katie Schenfeld (Fy., Indianola, Iowa) recorded the top score of 81 to pace the Gusties followed by Rachel Roberg (Sr., Rice Lake, Wis.), who posted a score of 82.  The Pointers were paced by Michelle Pascavis with a total of 82.</p>

Griggs finished first with a 36-hole total of 76-73--149 at the Minnesota Women's Collegiate Golf Association Invitational (MWCGA) at Pebble Creek Golf Club in Becker, Minnesota. Gustavus, ranked third in the nation, topped second place St. Thomas by 41 strokes and scored an 18-hole total of 297 on Sunday which set a new school record.</p>
