			<p> The Gustavus men's soccer team stayed unbeaten in the month of October with a 2-0 win in St. Peter on Saturday afternoon.  The Gusties recorded two goals late in the match to claim the victory.  Brett VanderStreek gave the team a 1-0 lead with a goal in the 80th minute and then Max Malmquist extended the lead to 2-0 with a goal in the 85th minute.  Luke Strom recorded the shutout win in the nets for Gustavus. The Gusties improved to 10-2-1 overall and 6-1-0 in the MIAC.</p>

				<p> The Gustavus men's soccer team registered only one shot on goal against Augsburg on Wednesday night, but the Gusties made that one count as Ben Ikeda's goal from 35 yards out in the 77th minute proved to be the difference.  Gustavus goalkeeper Luke Strom made three saves and recorded his sixth shutout of the season.  The Gusties are now 9-2-1 overall and 5-1-0 in the MIAC.</p>

The Gusties outshot the Storm 21-1, but could not get the ball past Simpson goalkeeper Josh Youngman who made nine saves.  Gustavus has now been held off the scoreboard for two consecutive games (a total of 200 minutes).</p>

The victory was the 400th in the history of the men's soccer program at Gustavus.  The Gusties have compiled a 400-172-86 record for a .698 winning percentage in 42 seasons.</p>

First year forward Chris Golv led the first half explosion with two goals and one assist.  Senior defender Todd Johnson pitched in with the first goal of his career in the 28th minute.  The Gusties are now 2-1 on the season.</p>
