In short, I can just say that I believe the "Big Questions" retreat, paid for annually by the CVR, has been incredibly helpful in a myriad of ways to a number of first year students. Also, I have on more than one occasion said to a student in the course of a conversation, "you're asking me questions that seem to be exactly what the CVR attempts to explore--you should really check them out!" The "I Can't Believe It Went So Fast" dinners for seniors are an important chance to reflect, I believe, and I have witnessed more than one "A-Ha" moment in facilitating those discussions.
