Reaching your voice mailbox

From on-campus:
  1. Dial x6330
  2. Press the * key
  3. Enter your voice mailbox number
  4. Enter your voice mailbox password
From off-campus:
  1. Dial 507-933-6330
  2. Press # key
  3. Enter your voice mailbox number
  4. Enter your voice mailbox password

If you forget your voice mailbox number or password, contact the Telecommunications Department at x7025 or x6261 or e-mail Laura McCabe.

Listening to your voice mail messages

Review:

  • Skip to next message, press #
  • Skip to saved message, press ##

Action options at end of message:

  • Reply by voice mail, press 8
  • Replay message, press 4
  • Save message, press 9
  • Erase message, press 7
  • Enable/disable date and time stamp, press 5

Sending and replying to voice messges

To create a new message:

  1. From main menu, press 2
  2. Record message, then press #
  3. Enter recipient's voice mailbox number, then press # to send

Tips:

  • To erase and re-record, press *
  • If you don't know the recipient's mailbox number, press # and spell their last name

To reply to a message you receieve:

  1. At the end of the message, press 8
  2. Record reply, then press #
  3. To send, press #

Changing your password

To secure your mailbox, change your password frequently

  • From main menu, dial 3-1-1
  • If you forget your voice mailbox number or password, contact the Telecommunications Department at extension 7025 or 6261 or e-mail Laura McCabe.

Changing your personal greeting

  1. From main menu, dial 3-2-2-2
  2. Name 3-2-1

Call Waiting

  1. After hearing the call waiting tone, depress the switch hook and release
  2. First caller is on hold, connected to second caller
  3. Depress switch hook and release, to reconnect to first caller
Tips
  • Dial *78 to turn call waiting off
  • Dial *79 to turn call waiting on

Redial

Redials the last number you dialed on or off campus.

  1. Lift handset and wait for dialtone
  2. Dial *89 (number is automatically dialed)

General Tips

  • If you press the wrong key, simply press * to cancel or back up
  • Get help by dialing 0
  • Go back to main menu by repeatedly pressing *, until you hear prompts for reviewing and sending messages
  • To exit voice mail, repeatedly press *, until you hear "Good-bye"
  • Other tips and shortcuts
    • To bypass a personal greeting, press #
    • If prompted to press a key twice, be sure to do it close together
