Registration for first-year parking permits will be available online or in person at the Safety and Security office, located in the basement of the Norelius Residence Hall, beginning July 29, 2008. (Online registration will not be available after August 18th.)
Students may apply for parking permits on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to space constraints, the number of parking permits is limited.
Because the student will be responsible for the vehicle while on campus, we ask that the student (and not the parent) complete the registration process.
For the registration process, students will need their Gustavus-issued e-mail user name and six-digit ID number, along with the vehicle's exact license plate number.
If you complete the online registration, your permit decal will be found in your campus mailbox upon arrival to campus on Orientation Day.
Student on-campus parking permits are $140 and are valid for the entire school year. Permit holders are responsible for their registered vehicles. It is their responsibility to know and obey all parking rules and regulations.
Resident student permit decals are colored red for Resident Student parking. See the campus map
Students should make themselves familiar with all Resident Student parking areas, there will not always be an available space near their residence hall. When viewing the map, click the "permit parking" option.
If a student wishes to have a car at Gustavus but does not obtain an on-campus parking permit they will find limited off-campus parking located on Jefferson Street on the south end of campus. Visitor Parking spaces cannot be used by students at anytime.
