To help you get ready for your arrival on campus, we've prepared this list of packing suggestions. Remember, it isn't necessary to bring everything listed! Also, this probably shouldn't be the time to empty your storage areas or bring to campus your grandmother's antique bureau.. It will be very important to speak with your roommate(s) about who will be bringing what as you do not want to haul two televisions up to the room, only to turn around and send one home with your parents. Rooms are comfortable, but not spacious; sharing large items can save valuable space.
Bathroom Needs
- Two sets of towels (bath, face, washcloth)
- Soap dish
- Toothbrush
- Container to carry shower necessities
- Shower shoes
- Other items (soap, shampoo, etc).
Academic Needs

- Thesaurus
- Notebooks
- Office supplies (pens, tape, thumbtacks, stapler, etc.)

Room Needs
- Alarm clock

- Extension cords and surge protectors
- Bed linens including mattress pad

- Pets (other than fish)

- Personal grills (e.g. George Foreman type grills)
- Hot plate type cookers, or any open-coil cooking appliances
- Illegal drugs
- Alcohol (if under 21 years old.)
- Crockpot
- Martial arts weapons
- Air conditioner (unless you have a physician's verification of medical necessity and it is approved by the College)
- Weight lifting equipment
- Waterbed
- Furniture (large sofa, chairs, etc.)
- Space heater.
