Residential Life Staff

 
 

Assistant Dean of Students/Director of Residential Life

The Director of Residential Life is responsible for translating and actualizing the Residential Life mission statement by implementing programs and hiring and supervising staff that are committed to actively creating and sustaining living environments conducive to the learning, growth, and development of students. This includes furnishing information on and coordination of residential services (i.e. housing assignments, contract) selection and training of residential life staff, providing student academic and personal support, and overseeing policy development and implementation for the residential living system. The Director of Residential Life also serves as an Assistant Dean of Students.

Assistant Directors of Residential Life

The Assistant Directors assist the Director in coordinating specific functions within the Central Office as well as supervising a residential area. The Central Office functions include coordination of Collegiate Fellow Selection, Collegiate Fellow Training, Head Resident Training and Assessment. Supervising an area includes supervision, selection and training of both student and head residents staff, housing concerns, student academic and personal support, and policy enforcement and implementation.

Assistant Directors:

  • Troy L. Seppelt, M.A. : Troy is responsible for Pittman, Sohre, Rundstrom Halls as well as Carlson International Center. Troy's coordinates the Head Resident and Collegiate Fellow programs and also directs/advises The Crossroads Program.
  • Erin Berreth, M. Ed. : Erin is responsible for Uhler and Southwest Halls and Arbor View and College View Apartments as well as the Wellness and Social Justice programs. Erin coordinates all aspects of housing to include first-year student assignments, the returning student housing selection process, interium and summer housing.

Area Coordinators in Residential Life

Area Coordinators help in planning and implementing the specific functions within the Central Office as well as supervising a residential area. Supervising an area includes supervision, selection and training of both student and head residents staff, housing concerns, student academic and personal support, and policy enforcement and implementation.

  • Jody Goldie, M. A. : Jodie is responsible for Norelius and Prairie View Halls and the PLEDGE Program in each.
  • Andy Hagen , M. S. : Andy is responsible for North, Sorensen, and Gibbs Halls and the ILS House Program.

Administrative Assistant

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for the office management within the Residential Life Office. This includes coordination of administrative processes, communication with students, parents, guests and visitors, supervision of student staff, and financial operations.

Head Residents

Head Residents are live-in, professional staff or faculty who are charged with actively creating and sustaining living environments conducive to the learning, growth, and development of students by assisting in the adjustment to the collegiate experience, promoting community development and serving as a resource and mentor to students. Collegiate Fellows

Collegiate Fellows (CFs) are carefully selected upper-class students assigned to a floor/section who are charged with actively creating and sustaining a living environment conducive to the learning, growth, and development of students. CFs have a variety of responsibilities: peer counseling, facilitating activities and programs that encourage the development of a strong, positive, and inclusive community in the hall, acting as general resources and referral agents.

Collegiate Fellow Staff

Student Office Staff

Student staff members work in the Residential Life Office through the College's student employment program. Their job includes receptionist duties, answering telephones, data entry, web work, bulletin board creation, filing and general office duties.
