The College's official letterhead displays the unit wordmark at the top, sized to 4-3/8 inches in width. Address and phone information is contained in two lines at the bottom of the page, separated from the body of the letter by a rule of the same length as the rule in the unit wordmark. The top line contains the institution address, the bottom line lists, phone, fax, and Web address. The information at the bottom is set in 9-pt. Univers, leaded on 12. The standard College letterhead is available in two colors (process black and PMS #128 gold) from Printing Services, although a one-color version is also authorized.
The letterhead may be personalized for departmental or individual use by adding up to two lines to the information shown at the bottom of the page. The unit wordmark at the top may be displayed in sizes between 3 and 4 inches wide but should not otherwise be altered or any text added to the top. For departmental usage, a third information line is added immediately above the two existing lines listing the official department or office name, and the phone, fax, and Web information on the last line may be personalized. For individual personalization, a fourth line is added between the address line and the phone line to accommodate the individuals name, title, and e-mail address. (Personal information may be reduced to 8 points, leaded on 10, or left at 9/12.) Because personalized letterheads are generally developed as templates for use on personal computers, they are to be printed in one color only.
Word templates for personalized letterhead are available from the Office of College Realtions (phone 7650 or e-mail waldo@gustavus.edu) or from IT.
Printing Services maintains a supply of four so-called standard size envelopes #10 business, 6"x9", 9"x12", and 10"x13" and mailing labels, designed with a two-color unit wordmark at the upper left and address information underneath. Specialized envelopes and custom orders should follow the same format, but typically would be printed in black only.
