Jeff Stocco, Director of the Career Center, spends most of his time and derives great satisfaction in helpingĀ students make decisions about their careers and majors. He is the Health Professions Coordinator, and each year he assists many students who are considering medicine, pharmacy, and dentistry careers, as well as providing general advice for anyone interested in health fields. Jeff studied psychology, mathematics, and statistics at Hamline University, where he learned many practical applications for the Pythagorean theorem. He received his master's degree in counseling psychology from the University of Minnesota, where he saw the connections between psychology and measurement in the study of vocational psychology. Before coming to Gustavus in 1987, Jeff was the Director of Testing Services at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, where he also did career counseling.
