Marketing and Communication

Working in marketing and communication in higher education in general, and at Gustavus Adolphus College specifically, is a perfect fit for me because I so value education that has bredth and depth. A Gustavus education is special because it is open to and tolerant of all people, it is based in the liberal arts rather than in one select area, and it is faith-based. The community of learners truly embrace lifelong learning, leadership, and service. The five core values of the institution -- excellence, community, justice, service, and faith -- resonate with me.

I joined the Gustavus community in 1990. Prior to my employment at Gustavus Adolphus College, I worked as a journalist at community newspapers throughout Minnesota. In my spare time, I enjoy teaching and learning. So far, I have lead individual workshops and full courses for all ages (elementary through graduate-school level) in photography, writing, journalism, crisis communication, and higher education administration. I have an insatiable curiosity for anything new that broadens my horizons. Current interests include travel, photography, and music.
