I teach courses in nineteenth-century British literature, especially Victorian literature and culture. My teaching interests include women novelists (Austen, the Brontes, George Eliot, and Woolf), the culture of the 1890s, narrative theory, and Modernism. Currently, my research centers on Victorian novels and their representation of consciousness and interiority.
